There are quite many things that can go wrong on an old Rolleiflex, and if you cannot check the camera yourself, I would recommend buying it from a respectable dealer. There are other identifying things like the older style strap hanger had a half moon of metal under it and the older models had a pin on the inside to facilitate a flat glass back. The difference between 3.5 and 2.8 versions and between Planar and Xenotar is minimal.

I used to own a 2.8F white face with Planar that was made in the 70s that had a lens serial number of 5391478 which would be quite a bit later than yours, but they made a lot of those cameras and that is a very late number.
